1) What do you write and what crew do you represent?

Zame : FCK TC-5 FBA IBM TDS NTA

2) Where did you get your tag? Any special meaning behind it?

I wanted a name that was original and had a dope flow to piece or bomb with. The name Zame came from the dome.

3) When did you start writing and what were some of your early influences?

I started writing in New York in 1984 with RozOne, who put me up on the graff scene. My other influences were Mace and Kaos who were rockin concrete productions in midtown that got me amped to do my own work. I later linked up with Zear, West, and Risk, that raised the influence of my style to come.

4) What was your favorite Penit/Wall and why?

Without out a doubt it was the Hialeah Penit. The reason being that it was a place were I met some writers that were real and also met many that became victims of being vamped by yours truly.

5) Is there any crazy story that sticks out in your mind from the early days?

One story that comes to mind always is the time I went to the penit to take some flicks of a wall I finished and met Siner for the first time. I noticed two herbs come into the penit with a bag of paint and a golf club for protection. I stepped to Siner and told him when I say "What time is it?", grab the golf club and I'll do the rest. I approached the first toy while he was doing a wack outline and engaged in simple conversation while Siner walked up behind the other scrub holding the club. I looked at Siner and said "What time is it?", on that note Siner grabbed the golf club and I began blasting punches to the chest of the other toy. He began to juggle his cans like a clown onto the floor. I then went over his outline while tears fell from his eyes. Siner proceeded to house the other toy for his paint. As the victims left the penit, I turned to Siner and said, "Nice to meet ya".

6) Name a Miami writers work that you respect a lot (thats not in your crew/associated crews) and why?

I respect those who respect me and my work. Period. Cross that line and get dealt with.

7) Any good stories about a time you got chased or busted?

Back in 1986, I was in the 1 tunnel lay-up. I was rockin a car with Zear while West was painting with Risk. I told Zear that there were mad heads on the platform for a sunday morning. I noticed two heads walking towards the tunnel on the uptown side. Soon after, a silver train stopped and sat where we were painting. I looked up and saw 5-0 along with workbums peepin. Suddenly, all the doors opened and about 20 heads jumped down onto the tracks blowing whistles and banging their clubs on the rails. This was an all out raid. We ran for the platform and bounced to the uptown side cause 5-0 had crossed over the tracks to where we were at. As we ran up the stairs, we saw cop cars going up and down the streets. Zear and I got to a building, then got to the rooftop and jumped from one rooftop to another. The space between the rooftops was only two feet but about 8 stories high. No room to slip up. We came down and got into a cab back to midtown. We later called West and Risk, who got away as well on some Mcgyver shit.

8) Whats the biggest problem with Toys nowadays?

Knowledge of early graff, the foundation, and the rules to go by. Some want to step into the graff scene without embracing the history or knowing how to conduct themselves. They will step to another toy to claim acknowledgement, then post their wack shit online and then become an internet thug, poppin some bullshit they can't backup when confronted by a real motherfucker. A year later they claim to be old school.... fuckin ducks!

9) Some comments on your transition from New York in the 80's to Miami in the 90's?

I came out here in late 1987. I did a wall out here that year but found myself retired until 1992, when I was introduced to Dash who was affliated with crews back in NYC that I was down with already. We linked up and rocked a wall in Hallandale along with Seam. This sparked a movement that included Airborn, Spade, Chillski, Teal, and View2 that continues to rep strong 'til this day.

10) What do you think of the Graf Scene in South Florida and Where do you think its headed?

The graff scene in Miami has its positives and negatives. Many heads are killing the freights, and that has given many writers in Miami mad shine and heavy noise for Miami. On the negative, there always seems to be friction or uncalled for ego's that don't allow for the advancement of styles or concepts. You got some young bucks who got potential but are wanting to put out quantity, rather than quality. Not willing to develop their style of letters and characters.
